USFA Membership
All students must be members of the United States Fencing Association. There is a $60/year fee. Please sign up on the USFA's website or request a copy of the form in person at the club. You must hand in the filled out form at the first day of classes.
Worcester Fencing Club Membership
Club membership entitles a fencer to free open fencing which is regularly $10/night, and a club t-shirt.
At $400 for an individual, this is a bargain for fencers who are regulars at open fencing. Some fencers get the membership, so that they have motivation to get their money's worth and thus lots of exercise, some just like knowing they can just walk in without worrying about having ten bucks. The family rate is $600.

Class Descriptions
- Introductory Foil
- This class will introduce the basics of foil fencing, taking the student through basic footwork, attack, parry, and riposte. This class is for students ages 11 and up.
- Beginning Foil II
- Foil II will act as a continuation of Foil I. Here, students will refine their footwork, and learn new skills such as attacks on the blade, and feint/deceive.
- Intermediate Foil
- This class will introduce/refine advanced footwork techniques, and advanced bladework techniques, such as prises de fer, attack into preparation, and remaining parries.
- Advanced class
- This class provides the dedicated fencer with tools to use in competition level fencing. While reviewing many of the same topics as Intermediate Foil, this class seeks to acheive a much higher standard, and much more is expected of the student by way of dedication and outside class work. Significant amounts of time will be spent on electric fencing, refereeing, weapon repair, competition protocol, the RULES, etc.
- Beginning Epee (not scheduled at this time)
- Here, the student will learn the basics of Epee fencing, with special attention to aspects which set this weapon apart from Foil and/or Sabre.

- Here, the student will learn the basics of Sabre fencing, with special attention to aspects which set this weapon apart from Foil and/or Epee.

Unlike other WFC classes, this class will take place over two sessions for total of fourteen class meetings, and will be and hour and a half per meeting. The cost is adjusted accordingly.

Regular attendance in class will also be expected. Emphasis of class will be competition. Students will work on such competition aspects as: sportsmanship, competition protocol, keeping score, refereeing, exersise, dietary habits, weapon repair, electric fencing, and the RULES.
