    Teen/Adult Skills Sept/Oct 2022

    Get moving and practice your fencing skills!  More advanced techniques and tactics will be covered and this class will also give you an opportunity to fence with your peers.  For experienced foil and epee fencers age 13+

    level 2


    Cost:

    $200 (1x per week for 7 weeks)

    $250 (2x per week for 7 weeks)

    USA Fencing Membership Required


    Choose one

    • Tuesday 6-7:15pm meets 9/6, 9/13, 9/20, 9/27, 10/4, 40/11, 10/18 Foil Only
    • Saturday 11:30-12:45pm meets 9/10, 9/17, 9/24, 10/1, 10/8, 10/15, 10/22 Foil & Epee
    • Tuesday and Saturday for Foil, Wednesday and Saturday for Epee


    Class requirements:

    • Face masks are not required at this time, but are encouraged for those who are unvaccinated or have close contact with someone at higher risk from COVID.  Stay home if you are not feeling well.
    • Fencers must wear long athletic pants, t-shirts, and clean, dry sneakers to class.
    • Fencers should bring a water bottle to class. (We have a water bottle filling station.)
    • We will provide a set of the necessary equipment for new student's exclusive use while enrolled.  Equipment must be returned on the last day of class.
    • Returning students are asked to provide their own fencing mask. (See our equipment policy for information about special offers when you purchase your mask from us.)
    • Participants must bring in a signed enrollment form to their first class.
    • Bring your US Fencing membership confirmation to your first class ($15/year for a non-competitive membership).  US Fencing membership is available here...

    Youth Learn to Fence Sept/Oct 2022

    Our entry level class -- learn the basic attacks and defense of modern fencing!    This class is for new and continuing fencers age 8-13. Fencers typically continue at this level at least two full sessions.


    Level 1

    $175 (1x per week for seven weeks.)

    USA Fencing membership is required.


    Choose one:

    • Tuesday 4:45-5:45 Meets 9/6, 9/13, 9/20, 9/27, 10/5, 10/11, 10/18
    • Saturday 9am-10am Meets 9/10, 9/17, 9/24, 10/1, 10/8, 10/15, 10/22


    Class requirements:

    • Fencers must wear long athletic pants, t-shirts, and clean, dry sneakers to class
    • Fencers should bring a water bottle to class. (We have a water bottle filling station.)
    • We will provide a set of the necessary equipment for the student's exclusive use while enrolled.  Equipment must be returned on the last day of class.

    Youth Skills September/October 2022

    level 2

    Get moving and practice your fencing skills!  This intermediate level class features a variety of skill development exercises and  bouting.  Class runs for 75 minutes.  This class is for experienced fencers age 8-13.


    Cost: $200 (1x per week for 7 weeks)

               $225 (2x per week for 7 weeks)

    USA Fencing Membership Required

     

    Choose one

    • Wednesday 4:45-6pm meets 9/7, 7/14, 9/21, 9/28, 10/5, 10/12, 10/19
    • Saturday 10-11:15 meets 9/10, 9/17, 9/24, 10/1, 10/8, 10/15, 10/22
    • Wednesday AND Saturday

    Teen/Adult Competitive Training Foil/Epee/Sabre

    Level 3 - WFC membership required

    US Fencing Membership (Access or Competitive) required


    Our advanced level class for experienced fencers who are serious about improving their  skills.  Coach's permission required. Fencers should be attending at least two times per week, taking regular private lessons and participating in our in-house competitions (as well as local, regional and national competitions if so desired). Age 13+


    Wednesday 6:15-8:15

    Thursday 6:15-8:15

    Saturday 1pm-3pm


    Classes Only (1, 2, or 3x per week) $300


    Optional Private Lesson add-ons (To be scheduled directly with coach):

    • $240 (1 per week, maximum of 8)
    • $120 (2 per month)
    • $60 (1 per month)

    We have increased class time to two hours so we can incorporate strength and agility training in all sections, not just on Thursdays.  Wednesday and Thursday classes conclude with open fencing.  Classes may meet in weeks outside our regular 7-week sessions depending on the calendar.

    • Students at this level should begin providing their own equipment, particularly mask, lame, bodycord and weapon.  We will continue to provide any equipment you don't have.
    • Participants must bring in a signed enrollment form to their first class.

    Youth Competitive Foil/Epee Sept/Oct 2022

    More advanced level training for fencers age 10-13 who have had at least two full sessions of skills classes and are ready to explore competitive fencing.  Coach's approval is required to enroll. Fencers joining the team should fence at least two times per week, and begin taking individual lessons.  Thursday team practice runs for an hour and a half, and fencers can also attend Wednesday and/or Saturday Youth Skills classes.  We will coordinate local and in-house competitions.  Both foil and epee will be offered on Thursdays, and depending on interest, Saturdays.  Students must stay with one weapon or the other for the entire two-month session.

    level 3

    US Fencing Membership required (access or competitive)

    WFC Youth Fencing Membership required (Or WFC Family membership)


    $300 per session - includes 1 private lesson per month

    Thursday 4:45-6:15pm Foil OR Epee

    PLUS Wednesday and/or Saturday Youth Skills

    Class requirements:
